I'm still alive

Hey, like always I hate that I'm not consistent. I was trying as hard as I could to write to all my readers but it seems impossible. I have several issues right now like, my muse is MIA. because of that I have no idea how my website/portfolio/blog should look. This week I will start in a new job (the one I had was driving me nuts). I think I can make a new blog entry every week, or maybe two. I'm still very shy about vlogging, so my youtube channel will be on hold. Before I start my new job I want to take the time to feed my brain with some creativity. To do so I prepared this list: - I will draw for at least an hour every day. - I will do my makeup with funky colors (my new palettes from Lime Crime and Sugarpill Cosmetics are amazing) - I will use pinterest to find inspiration. - I will read inspirational quotes every morning. This is it for today. XOXO :)

Sugarpill: Burning Heart Palette

Hey, I know I promised my beautiful readers I was going to be doing a full review of the products I've purchased from Sugarpill Cosmetics.

In my first purchase I got thr Burning Heart Palette ($34 USD) that includes Flamepoint, Poison Plum, Love+, and Buttercupcake.

Flamepoint is a very bright matte orange. Highly pigmented

Next is Poison Plum, this is a very deep purple, (if you saw the very first Barney you can have an idea). This is also a color that can be used year around and it can be combined with almost every color you can find. The down part is that every time I put it on I am never able to take it off completely and it leaves a very noticible stain on my lids or crease. It also has a little bit of shimmer.

Love+, is a beautiful intense red that if combined the rigt way any girl can rock it like a rockstar, I adore this color for very dramatic looks, uwing purple, black, orange or white. Gold or silver also go very well. If used with an angle brush just as a liner it looks beautiful giving just a hint of color that would make any eye pop.

Last but not least Buttercupcake is the ultimate yellow, I've spent years looking for the perfect yellow and it wasn't until I got this palette that I found it, the texture is silky and it blends so nice is perfect. I wear this color almost everyday because I love how it looks by itself, with the other colors, with gold, with brown, other shades of yellow, greens, every color goes with it.

If I would have to grade Sugarpill products I would give it A+++ because they are easy to use, the blend flawless, they are vegan (which is a plus) their colors go with almost every skin tone the packing is gorgeous (even though is a little heavy) and they have a mirror (another plus).
Why get this palette?

You will not find colors so true in todays cosmetic market. I can say I love this more than MAC, yes the palette is 34 USD but the shadow pan is the size of a MAC blush, what means that you get a lot of product for the prize.

On the next review I will be talking about more Sugarill stuff so stay tuned.

Announcement, soon I will start recording tutorials for you tube and posting them here so stay super tuned.

FOTD: LOUD!

I can't call it anything else but loud. When I was wearing my natural makeup yesterday, I felt lifeless, like I had no direction. Today I just went all the opposite. I just couldn't help it. What I regret is not having a black light to show you that my shadow glows in the dark

Here are some of the pics (sorry for the quality, they were taken with a phone camera even though is 8MP is not as good as a real camera)

My Crazy NYX Cosmetics sale experience!

I’ve been expecting the NYX Cosmetics 12 year anniversary sale for a week Most of their items would be $1.20. Today was finally the sale (starting at 12 PM PST until 12 AM PST) I’m in Eastern time so I knew it was going to start at 3 PM ET. My first intent to get in the site was at 3:01 PM (I was here all along to be from the first in.)

Then the problems began:

  • NYX did not prepare their servers for such bizarre sale.
  • They never thought that social networking was going to be such a huge impact on their sales.
  • I take a wild guess and was not prepared for the servers to crash right in the middle of the sale. (They warned people that they had limited quantities, and to get in the site ASAP so you could get what you wanted)
  • People are upset because they can’t get in and shop for the things they wanted.
  • It was an hour into the “sale” the site was still down. Worse than that they had to take it offline.

It was 3 and half hours since the site crashed. I was still waiting because I really want some of those products they are offering =)

After 4 hours of trying nonstop to get in the site I gave up, I figured no one was going to be able to shop anyways because the page was not responding.

I woke up about 8 am and I got in to see if I could do my final purchases, I put everything I wanted in my cart (took me about an hour or so to do it). When it was time to checkout forget it. It was a nightmare. I remember this sale last year and I don’t know if it was the lack of traffic or what but I could check out fine with no problems or hassles.

The reps from NYX said they were prepared for the traffic the site was going to have; many things say the contrary though. After almost 4 and a half hours of trying to checkout I fail, and finally I give up.

Share your experiences.

Ebates: get cash back for purchases

I want all of you to know that every time I post something on my blog I make sure that it works and that is legitimate.

So let me talk to you about this site called Ebates.com This is a wonderful site I stumbled like a week ago where you receive cash back's for every purchase you make (so literally you are spending less than you think you are). You can get up to 26% cash back on purchases.

You can find almost every site imaginable. From Home Depot to Sephora (which BTW offers 12% cash back). At one point I thought it was fake but today I got a notification on my email that they were giving me the 12% of what I spent back. Cool isn't it? Know what is the best part? You can receive your money either by check or via PayPal (which I find COOLER). Well again check that site out. Register, don't hesitate I can assure you it is NOT fake! =)

Here is the link if you didn't click on the top one www.ebates.com

Try it! =) and give me feedback onces you've tried it once.

E-Shopping Haul: Sephora, MAC & FaceFront

Hello to all my gorgeous readers. Hope you are having a nice day.

This Sunday I ordered a couple of things online that I've been wanting to get and some that came out that day and I got because I liked it.

From Sephora I ordered the Stila Long Wear Lip Color in Exhilarating which is a gorgeous matte hot pink lip color that is really amazing. I am in love with it and it is definitely worth the $20 I paid for =).

I was also dying for an orange lipstick, when I checked my email and MAC had free shipping. I ordered MAC Amplified Neon Orange Lipstick $14.50 and for it was worth I bought MAC Pro pan refill Purple Haze (matte deep purple) $11.00.

Then I saw in Facebook that FaceFront Cosmetics had added some new swatches of cyber gel (which I previously owned in Black Jax) I ordered 2 Painters Blue and Red Hot $9.50 ea. plus 4.95 shipping.

I loved everything I got. In a couple of days I will post some reviews of these cyber gels from FaceFront and also will post some other stuff to.

Bonus! SWATCHES =)

Review: Facefront Artistic Pigment Swatches

Hello my beautiful readers, hope you are having a stylish awesome weekend. Today I will to talk about my latest craze, FaceFront cosmetics. As right now I'm in love with this brand, they have so many pretty swatches and one of the best eyeshadow bases I've ever used. First let me tell you about the brand, their products are vegan (that means they don't test on animals, nor use things that come from animals), minerals, and eco friendly.

Why I love these pigments?

They have the prettiest swatches, they are really pigmented, you can use them wet or dry, and they come in a variety of finishes; from matte to steel finish. I currently own: Bee Incredible, Death By Rubies, Symphonic, Sea Soldier, Black Jax (cream liner and eyeshadow), and Weekend Warrior.

These make up pigments sell for 10.50 USD each at www.facefront.com.  The pigments have 5g and the cream liner/shadow has 2.3g, this brand also makes lipgloss, blush, finishing powder, bronzer and a brow/eye base called Survival Paint.

Review: Purple Lab Fat Lips Skinny Hips

Hey gals, since I saw Purple Lab's Fat Lips Skinny Hips (info here) I wanted to try it, but for a lip gloss it seemed quite expensive, two weeks ago I went on hsn.com to see another beauty product offer, but I didn't consider it. I stumbled upon a very good deal (2 for $7 while the MSRP is 25.00) so I bought them. This lip plumper hoodia, what can calm your food cravings.

The package is super cute, in purple and pink. The inside of the box is really weird, it has like a smaller box space where the lip gloss goes, It's a waste of space. Another weird (but creative) thing about this brand is the  names of their products.

The one's that I got are called No Panty Lines (clear) and Kitty Pole dance (old pink with sparkles).

After testing this product I am really disappointed, I should've read more about it. The pink one has no pigmentation what so ever, it goes on clear and it smells pretty weird, I guess it is because of the Hoodia. What I liked was, that after 10 minutes you can see the difference in your lips, it makes them look fuller (not injected) and it's not sticky. It also carves your cravings but not for long... Make sure to have a back up plan. =)

Review: Victoria's Secret Secret Moment

On Monday I went shopping. I went into Victoria's Secret to see if I could get the new Passion Fruit and Plumeria limited edition cream, but they didn't have it. I was also looking for a good body scrub one of the girls showed me the Secret Moments line, this line doesn't have a large variety but most of the them smell so good.

From the Good Day Sunshine scent I bought the body wash, the body scrub and the body cream for $15 which is the deal right now at the Victoria's Secret stores and at the www.victoriassecret.com. If you are the kind of person that likes the smell of peaches this is your scent. It smells like bright peach and blue freesia, I love it because it smells like peaches and cream, well BETTER.

This is the Body Wash is 8.4 FL OZ and MSRP is $10.00 (if you buy it by itself). Since the first time I used it I LOVED it, it is light it smells awesome and for some reason it just puts a smile on my face when I use it. It really revamps my mood. So if you would like to level your mood this could be your scent.

The Soothing body scrub has 7 oz its suggested retail price is $12.00. Let me tell you when I used this I immediately felt my skin soother. I really liked this product a lot and I would definitely recommend it to others to buy.

Finally there is the body cream is 6.7 oz is $12.00 too. This cream moisturizes and makes you feel super soft, the smell is really good and you don't need a lot of it to get your arms and your legs covered.  I was going to get the body lotion, but I knew that was going to be to strong and the cream is not strong at all. This is another product from this line of scents that I would recommend to anyone who asks or read this.

I recommend to get these products when they are on sale. If you don't catch them on sale they will still be only $32 which is still pretty affordable.

Hope you enjoy my entry. More reviews are on the way =)
